Laboratory technician

I graduated from the” Natural Environment Techniques – Environmental Protection” program at Cégep de Saint-Félicien, as well as the “Laboratory Techniques – Biotechnologies” program at Cégep de l’Outaouais.

In the ISFORT DNA laboratory, I extract and purify the DNA contained in the samples and specimens entrusted to me. I also carry out the amplification as well as the verification of the purity of the extracted DNAs. In order to allow me to perform these tasks, it is among other things for me to carry out the preparation of useful solutions and products, the maintenance and inventory of equipment and material as well as the management and conservation some samples.

Also, since the samples analyzed in the DNA laboratory come from ecosystems studied by researchers at ISFORT, I occasionally participate in their collection.
