Ressources for current students

  • add remove ISFORT access - Student card
    • Contact Jinny Allaire to receive or replace your student card and thus gain access to ISFORT outside of opening hours.
  • add removeTravel advance or advance for fieldwork
    • Complete the Travel advance form
    • Send the completed and signed form by internal mail to the attention of the unit Finance Recherche (via the secretariat of the Department of Natural Sciences R-111).

    • For any loan or return of a book from the library of the Department of Natural Sciences (R-103) contact Jinny Allaire

  • add removeReimbursement request for travel / conference / fieldwork
    • For a travel reimbursement request, you must keep your proof of travel (gas bill near your destination, hotel bill, plane boarding pass, etc.). For all your reimbursement requests, you must keep all your invoices and organize them by category (gasoline, field or laboratory equipment, accommodation, etc.). You must also attach a written justification for the purchases made.
    • Fill out the Claim for reimbursement form available at the secretariat of the Department of Natural Sciences (R-111)
    • For all expenses funded by a NSERC / SSHRC Research Chair, a NSERC / SSHRC grant, you must also complete either the justification form for Research provision or Travel expenses.
    • Send the completed and signed forms by internal mail to the attention of the unit Finance Recherche (via the secretariat of the Department of Natural Sciences R-111).

  • add removeSample storage
    • If you require special storage conditions for your samples collected in the field (freezer, cold room, long term storage) contact Srdjan Ostojic to arrange the necessary space before collecting samples.
  • add removeISFORT laboratory
    • To access the ISFORT laboratory, you must complete WHMIS training. Contact Srdjan Ostojic to complete your WHMIS training and thus gain access to the laboratory.
    • For all chemical orders or questions regarding the use of equipment in the laboratory, contact Srdjan Ostojic.
  • add removeReservation of field equipment and ISFORT rooms
    • For any reservation of field equipment, contact Régis Pouliot as soon as possible to ensure that the equipment is available when you plan to use it.
  • add removeSample preparation and analytical services
    • ISFORT technicians offer preparation and analysis services for soil, leaf and root samples. Visit our Analitical services page for the list of services currently available with their price per sample. However, depending on the number of samples and the number of preparations / analyzes to be carried out on the samples, prices are negotiable. For each manipulation there is a protocol available but if you want to follow a particular protocol let us know. If you are interested in using these services contact Srdjan Ostojic.

    • For any IT questions contact Régis Pouliot. This may include:
      • Software installation
      • Remote access to certain computers
      • Support for videoconferencing room
  • add removeSalary and scholarship payment
    • Complete the Payment of invoice form available at the secretariat of the Department of Natural Sciences (R-111).
    • Complete the UQO consent form.
    • Send the completed and signed forms by internal mail to the attention of the unit Finance Recherche (via the secretariat of the Department of Natural Sciences R-111).
